To Be Wanted vs To Be Needed

Many people are expressing their opinion about relationships. Some want to be needed. Some prefer to be wanted. Which do you prefer?

  1. Maybe it is safer to be wanted versus needed. Want or desire might keep a relationship interesting and fun. Need might become a burden or lead to either insecurity by the one who needs or a big ego by the one who is needed.

  2. To be needed might help to strengthen a relationship and encourage loyalty. Need may cause a relationship to grow stronger and offer stability that may stand the test of time.

  3. If you're married it's cool to be needed. If you're not and just hanging out then to be wanted is better. Who wants to be needed by somebody if you're not exclusive?

  4. Come on now. Exclusive or not... You want to know he or she has your back and that you are not on your own if you need the person. I guess I would rather need and be needed. To want is too temporary or vulnerable.
